About the event

The Advances in Cyber Security Education Conference,  is a collaborative event bringing together stakeholders from schools,  colleges, universities, government agencies and industry to explore the  latest trends, technologies, and best practices in cyber security  education. This conference serves as a platform for networking,  learning, and showcasing the work of cyber security professionals,  students and educators.

1) CONFERENCE

Call for Book Chapters

Abstract submissions (up to 1000 words) should be made by Friday 24th May 2024. Submissions will be subject to peer review. Authors of accepted submissions will share their work at the conference as a 20 minute presentation, and will be invited to contribute a full-length chapter for inclusion in a forthcoming special edition of Springer Lecture Notes in Networks and Systems, to be submitted by Monday 22nd July. Full length chapters should be between 6000-8000 words.

We welcome cyber security education research submissions on a wide range of topics, including but not limited to:

  • Emerging Trends in Cyber Security Education
  • Cybersecurity Curriculum Design and Development
  • Hands-On and Practical Learning Approaches
  • Research of effective cyber security education theory and practice
  • Experimental studies on practical cyber security education
  • Advances in AI for cyber security education
  • Novel interaction methods for cyber security education
  • Technical and non-technical means of effective cyber security education
  • Cyber Security Awareness and Training Methods
  • Ethical and Legal Considerations in Cyber Security Education
  • Collaborative and Interdisciplinary Teaching Approaches
  • Cyber Security Education in Key Stage 1, 2 and 3
  • Bridging the Gap between Industry and Academia
  • Use of AI and Machine Learning in Cyber Security Education
  • Online and Distance Learning Strategies for Cyber Security Education

Submissions must be original and not previously published.

Important Submission Dates:

  • Presentation abstract submission deadline: 31st May 2024
  • Notification of acceptance: 7th June 2024

2) ISC2 2024 GLOBAL DIVERSITY, EQUITY & INCLUSION SUMMIT EXPERIENCE

ISC2 will be hosting and sponsoring a half-day employability workshop  during the conference for cyber students, aspiring and early career professionals. Students from diverse backgrounds are particularly encouraged to attend. Sessions will include:

Session 01) Get YOUR Cyber Role! Part 1: This session will provide an overview of entry-level job roles and how to map your skills and interests to the perfect cyber role.

Session 02) Get YOUR Cyber Role! Part 2: This session will provide insights to the combined importance of knowledge, adaptability, integrity experience, growth, certifications, a professional network, and an ability to resonate with a desired organisation.

Session 03) The Cybersecurity Technical Professional: In this session, participants will learn about the challenges and opportunities facing those looking to pursue a cybersecurity career and those already in the sector, based on data and insights from the ISC2 Global Workforce Study.

Session 04) Panel Discussion: In this session, early career professionals will share their career experiences and describe challenges and opportunities in the profession.

3) NETWORKING OPPORTUNITIES

Connect with peers, mentors, and potential collaborators from diverse backgrounds and industries.

The Advances in Cyber Security Education | 2024 is a FREE event, that  is designed to accommodate a diverse range of attendees, catering to broad interests and backgrounds within the cyber security education community.
